Tushar Gandhi was born on 17 th January, 1960, on a train, 1DN Howrah Mail on the way to Akola.
He studied in a Gujarati medium School, Adarsh Vinay Mandir in Khar.
He did his diploma in printing technology from the Government Institute of Printing Technology, Sir J, J, School of Arts, Mumbai.
He married Sonal in 1985 they have two children, son Vivan and daughter Kasturi.
He is the founder president of Mahatma Gandhi Foundation, an NGO engaged in the welfare and protection of rescued child laborers.
He is also president of Lok Seva Trust an organisation founded by his uncle Dr. Kantilal Gandhi, Lok Seva Trust works for the welfare of former mill workers in central Mumbai.
Tushar is a director on the board of Gandhi Research Foundation , Jalgaon.
Tushar is a ‘Walker’, in 2005 on the 75th anniversary of the historic Dandi march he walked from Sabarmati Ashram Ahmedabad to Dandi a distance of 389 K.M.s, along with 900+ walkers from all over the world, following the route taken by Bapu in 1930.
Once again in 2020 he walked part of the route but had to stop because of the lockdown due to the Covid 19 pandemic.

Major Devender Pal Singh (D P Singh) is 48 yrs old Indian Army war veteran.
Injured in active ops in 1999, he was brought dead to the hospital.
Survived with 100% disabilities and rose to claim many 1st to his name by converting his shortcoming into his strengths.
Maj Singh shines as India’s 1st amputee marathon runner, famous as Indian Blade runner, he has successfully completed 26 half marathons till date including 3 in extreme high altitude conditions.
He created another history by being 1st amputee of India to do solo skydiving from 12500 ft (1st ever amputee in whole Asia).
Major D P Singh is a quadruple Limca record holder, including Limca ‘People of the year’ award 2016.
Honored by the Canadian Government (sports minister) when he was invited to be part of the iconic Terry Fox run in 2014.
He was also conferred with REX Karamveer Global fellowship of (2014-15).
In 2018. Govt of India, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment conferred him with National Award for 2018 in the Role Model category.
Major D P Singh runs a group, an NGO “The Challenging Ones” (TCO).
TCO is a group of Indian amputees, where he shapes up the Attitude to convert, physically challenged into The Challengers.
TCO at present has 2000 plus amputees from all over India.
Since inception, 2011, TCO has proudly made more than 1100 challengers participate in various running events.
Peer motivation lead to many achieving personal excellence in many para sports in and outside India.
This never happened in the history of India.
Maj Singh aspires to increase this number many fold and make a shift in perception of society towards Ability from disability.
Major M P Singh is a live example of how the biggest shortcoming in one’s life can be converted into the toughest strength, how our mind plays a big role in accepting the change and making best out of it and how ‘service towards others’ or ‘giving’ plays the most important role in life to stay happy and bring prosperity.

Aashish Contractor, M.D. (born 1971).
He completed his medical education from TN Medical College, Nair Hospital, Mumbai and his post graduate training at the University of Virginia in the United States.
He has worked and trained in the United States, for several years.
He set up the dept of Preventive Cardiology and Rehabilitation at the Asian Heart Institute, and was with the Institute, since its inception, in 2002 to 2014.
He was part of the Asian Heart team of doctors involved in the redo bypass surgery of our Honourable Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, in January 2009, and was in charge of the PM’s rehabilitation team.
He is the Vice-Chairman of the International Council of Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation which includes 25 countries around the world.
He is also a visiting lecturer at the University of Chester, UK, and serves as the Certification Director of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) in India.
He is an avid sportsman himself, having run several marathons.
In 2016, the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of India, awarded Dr. Contractor, as the ‘Outstanding Zoroastrian in Medicine'.
